This dataset was created from parcel data in 2013 and revised in 2016 to serve its true purpose as a general reference for parks and outdoor recreational areas in Spotsylvania County. This dataset excludes any lands owned by the National Park Service, Civil Ware Preservation Trust and Battlefields Trust as they are parks dedicated to preserving history. This data set also excludes any park facilities owned by Indian Acres, Wilderness Camping Resorts and homeowner associations. Features found in this dataset don't always match parcel lines neatly. |
