This dataset is not intended to be used for Wetland determinations , Resource Protection Area determinations or other environmental determinations, without additional field verifications by those licensed to perform make those determinations. There are some man-made features in this dataset, such as stormwater management ponds and their outfalls, canals, spillways and ditches as well as structures which may hold water that are located at water treatment facility or waste water treatment facility. Swimming pools are located in a different dataset. |

<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P STYLE="margin:0 0 14 0;"><SPAN>07/24/15 - This dataset was originally digitized as several AutoCAD layers from aerial photography obtained from MSAG Data Consultants, Inc. in the late 1990's for Eagle Locator Mapping Dispatch software in the 911 Dispatch Center and MSAG Books for FREM and Sheriff Personnel. In 2006 during a data migration from an AutoCAD layer to ArcGIS feature dataset, the various layers were migrated into one dataset, but some of the attribution was lost. We are currently using new dataset extracted by the Sanborn Company in 2014 as part of Spotsylvania County's contract with Virginia Geographic Information Network(VGIN) for new hydrologic features to update this dataset. Attribution is being updated based upon information provided from U.S.Fish and Wildlife Services, National Wetland Inventory Wetlands dataset and approved site plans for new development in Spotsylvania County. </SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV> |
